The Nashville Shakespeare Festival Honored by NBCA as

Organization of The Month for July 2007.

Sponsorship

Each summer, The Nashville Shakespeare Festival serves thousands of people with FREE performances of Shakespeare’s plays at “Shakespeare in the Park.” Our productions have become a family tradition for many in our community, who each summer join us as we present the great works of William Shakespeare.

Each winter, beginning with our 20th anniversary season in 2008 we will produce an annual ticketed Winter Festival at the new Bill & Carole Troutt Theater on the Belmont University campus.

NASHVILLE SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL 2008/2009 SEASON

CORIOLANUS at Shakespeare in the Park 2008  August 14 – September 7, 2008

While Coriolanus is one of Shakespeare’s plays that is less familiar to general audiences, its theme of political maneuvering in the quest for public office and of the conflict of values that dominates that quest will generate considerable interest to a contemporary audience in the midst of the 2008 election cycle. The staging of the play will also generate audience involvement. The political dialogue will take place not just on stage but between actors on stage and actors in the audience. Our classroom workshops will be available to prepare students for what they will see. Our time-honored Apprentice Company program needs your support now to be sure the highest quality program is offered.

RICHARD III  at The Bill and Carole Troutt Theater January  2009

We return for the 2nd Annual Winter Shakespeare with Richard III.  Several organizations and foundations have already helped by committing support for our education initiatives for class room workshops and additional matinee performances for school groups. Ask us how!

The Nashville Shakespeare Festival relies heavily on the generosity of corporations, foundations, individuals and government agencies for the facilitation of our efforts to provide Shakespearean experiences to Middle Tennessee.

Businesses and foundations receive excellent exposure and are granted a myriad of benefits in exchange for helping us continue to give the gift of Shakespeare. Corporations and foundations may choose to sponsor The Nashville Shakespeare Festival in the following ways:
