2016 Winter Shakespeare: King Lear

King Lear By William Shakespeare

Directed by Denice Hicks

Cast

Shakespeare's existentialist masterpiece explores filial relationships and mental illness, while illustrating the full range of human behaviors from wretched cruelty to perfect love. The Nashville Shakespeare Festival presents the first full professional production of this play to be seen in Nashville in over 100 years. This is a wonderful opportunity to see a rarely produced and alarmingly relevant play presented in the beautiful, intimate Troutt Theater.
